Days 21 - 31

Well, I've kind of failed at P365 already since I think I could count on one hand the numbers of days in February that I have photos for, but I did get almost all of January done and I'm planning to pick the camera back up in March and keep trying.

James making pictures out of those colorful little shapes.

01.22.2010 | rain, rain, go away
01.22.2010 | rain, rain, go away
Yet another day of rain. When it stopped coming down in sheets, I grabbed my camera and ventured out in search of some rain drop photos.

James on the neighbor's big wheel... I remember when his legs weren't even long enough to reach the pedals on a regular tricycle. When did he get so tall?

Just a quick snapshot on the way to awana tonight. I don't know why John pulls his arms out of the seatbelt like that.

Next door to our vet is this fun building that houses carnival equipment. Since we've been there so often for bandage changes on the dog's leg this month, we've gotten to see it a lot!

01.28.2010 | feeding time
01.28.2010 | feeding time
A visit to Bates Nut farm with the grandparents and a chance to feed some animals. I took lots of photos, but this one of John feeding a goat was one of my favorites.

Day 20

01.20.2010 | monkey feet
01.20.2010 | monkey feet

James found an old baby outfit that looks like a monkey suit and has been wearing it around for the past couple of days. Since it's only 12 month sized however, it doesn't exactly fit. :)

Other photos from the day:

Here's the front of James' monkey suit. As you can see, the fit leaves a bit to be desired. When he tried to get both his arms and legs in the proper holes, I had to take it away from him. Too bad they don't make things like this in 5T; he'd be in little boy heaven!

Peter has the funny habit of taking his sock off, only one, and usually the right foot. Here he was, sitting on the couch holding his sock and watching a toon.

still watching his toon, guess his pants needed to be snapped up :)

Day 19

01.19.2010 | we love dessert

This is seven of the nine kids that were at our house today.. it was a little crazy! I have another photo for today that I like better on my cell phone, but I don't know how to get it off, so this will have to do ;)

Day 18

01.18.2010 | cheery
01.18.2010 | cheery

I was out taking photos of the seemingly never-ending rain, when I noticed these buds on the camila outside our front door. I thought they seemed so much cheerier than all the grey skies in the rest of the photos I took today.

Day 17

01.17.2010 | misery
01.17.2010 | misery

When we got home from church, we found our sweet dog standing in the front yard. How she got out of the backyard I have no idea, but she'd apparently been hit by a car. Here she is after surgery on her leg, simply miserable in her "cone of shame."

Day 16

01.16.2010 | sweet kisses
01.16.2010 | sweet kisses

Even though I didn't take these photos, and even though I hadn't even brushed my hair yet that morning, and even though Peter's face is covered in breakfast, these are still my favorites from the day because it was one of the happiest parts of my day. He would give me a big old smooch on the cheek, or nose and then laugh like it was the funniest thing he'd ever done. I wish I could bottle up these moments to relive when the boys are grown and gone!

Day 15

01.15.2010 | go away
01.15.2010 | go away

I went into the boys' room at 9 o'clock to see if they were up yet, but they weren't. I thought John looked so sweet sleeping that I crept back out to get my camera. He woke up just as I was taking his picture though, and to say that he was grumpy would be a major understatement. Apparently he was not yet ready to get out of bed!
